This policy explains how HANJI ("we", "us") collects and uses personal information when you visit hanji.world or join our email list.

What we collect

When you join the email list, we collect your email address and the date and time you signed up. Nothing else is asked for.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver and secure it, such as your IP address and browser type. The site does not use advertising or analytics cookies or tracking pixels. If that changes, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

How we use it

We use your email address to send you emails about HANJI, such as launches and new releases, and to reply if you contact us. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we send these emails on the basis of your consent, which you give when you join.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. It is processed for us by Vercel, which hosts the site, by Neon, which stores a copy of the email list, and by Klaviyo, which we use to send emails. We may also disclose it if the law requires us to.

Where it is stored

These providers store data in the United States. If you are outside the United States, your information is transferred there, using safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses where the law requires them.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and then delete it within 30 days. We may keep the address on a do-not-email list so we do not contact you again.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of our emails or by emailing support@hanji.world. You can also ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you can withdraw consent at any time and complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have the right to know, correct and delete their personal information. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Children

The site is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
